Talk for writing allows young children to establish confidence in the language required for writing before they even begin putting 'pen to paper'. Young children thrive through imitation and when the right digital tools are used, young learners can move into innovating their story language and hence move through to independent story writing with more confidence. This presentation takes a look at the 3 stages of talk for writing and what tools can benefit the young learner in this process.
