Kim Vernon is currently Head of Integrated Technologies at Tanglin Trust School. She has 16 Years teaching experience in the field of Early Childhood and 11 Years specialising in ICT education within the Early Years.

Originally from Sydney, Kim has gained valuable experience in the UK, Australia and Singapore. Kim is a co-founder and moderator of the educational twitter chat @asiaED, bringing educators from across Asia together promoting an opportunity to think more deeply about relevant issues.With her passion for young learners, coupled with her interest in ICT, Kim has been leading the implementation of new skills to the young learners at Tanglin. Of particular interest to her is the element of Computer Science and how important and influential non-tech environments are to helping these young learners grasp Computer Science skills.By utilising the knowledge gained in studying her Masters in ICT, Kim works hard to ensure that good pedagogy is at the forefront of all educational experiences. The technology provides the necessary tool to bring it to life and create the awe and wonder for young learners.
